Amamikaiyoutenjikan奄美海洋展示館

An exhibition facility in Amami City themed on "coexistence between the sea and people." A large tank (5 m deep, about 150 tons) modeled on Amami's underwater terrain displays sea turtles and tropical fish, and the hall also has a permanent display of more than 40 kinds of moray eels, one of the largest collections in Japan, and 267 species of shell specimens.
