The Marine Biosystems Research Center of Chiba University, in Kamogawa, Chiba Prefecture. It began in 1956 as a marine research annex of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences; in 1985 the Kominato training station of Tokyo University of Fisheries was transferred to Chiba University, and the current center was established in 1999. It is a university marine laboratory for research and education on marine biodiversity and its relationship with the environment, and there is no information on admission fees or hours for a public aquarium.
