Morino Suizokukan匠の館 森の水族館

A wealthy farmer's mansion built by Hida master carpenters and a designated cultural property of Takayama City. It includes a freshwater aquarium that, while among the world's smallest, is full of ingenuity, exhibiting the endangered Sakhalin taimen (ito), sturgeon, char, yamame trout, rainbow trout, doctor fish, turtles, and more. A diorama recreating Takayama in the Showa 30s (1955–1964) is another highlight.
