Records
A female who arrived at Nogeyama Zoo from Hiroshima's Asa Zoological Park in 2017. On November 30, 2020, she was transferred to Yokohama Zoological Gardens Zoorasia for breeding, and Ichigo came to Nogeyama from Zoorasia in exchange. The zoo's blog records that she was 5 years old at the time of the move.
In a 2022 post on the history of red pandas at the zoo, Nogeyama Zoo's official blog looked back on the move as part of breeding cooperation between zoos: 'November 2020. It was decided that Nogeyama's Kiku and Zoorasia's Ichigo would be traded.' The post summarizes the zoo's red panda husbandry from the Heisei era into the Reiwa era, and Kiku's arrival from Hiroshima's Asa Zoological Park and her transfer to Zoorasia at age 5 are recorded as part of that history.
