Pairi Daiza, in Brugelette, Hainaut Province, Belgium, is a zoo and botanical garden that opened in 1993 on the grounds of a former Cistercian monastery. Spanning about 75 hectares, it houses over 7,000 animals, including giant pandas on loan from China since 2014, koalas, and Asian elephants, alongside themed worlds such as Europe's largest Chinese garden. It has repeatedly been voted the best zoo in Europe, making it one of the continent's flagship animal parks.
