A male born July 11, 2018, at Nihondaira Zoo to mother Shii and father Taku. The zoo's official animal profile page introduces him as 'the child of Shii and Taku'; he shares his father Taku (born June 15, 2010) with Niko, born in 2017. The family tree page records his birth date as July 11, 2018, and also shows that his father Taku was born on June 15, 2010.

Nihondaira Zoo is the birthplace of Futa (born 2003, now at Chiba Zoological Park), whose standing pose took the nation by storm, and it has been at the center of Japan's red panda breeding program since 1985.
