Records
She arrived at Nogeyama Zoo from Yokohama Zoological Gardens Zoorasia on November 30, 2020, and made her debut that December. The zoo's blog describes her as 'left-handed,' since she often uses her left paw to grab food, the opposite of the senior male Kenken. She was an 8-year-old female at the time of her arrival.
She turned 13 on July 28, 2025, and the zoo's blog shared her birthday celebration, complete with her favorite apples and grapes.
In May 2025, when she turned 12, the zoo's blog reported that because she had entered old age, when the molting season and summer heat easily sap her stamina, heat countermeasures were in place, including expanding her indoor activity area. At that month's weigh-in, she was coaxed onto a newborn-baby scale with an apple and recorded 6.3 kg.
Starting in September 2025, keepers began a special guided talk called 'The Secrets of Princess Ichigo,' explaining to visitors the care techniques used to manage the health of an elderly red panda.
