A male brought to Kaiyukan from Saitama Children's Zoo in 2022. On August 23 to 24, 2023, four pups (three males and one female) were born to him and the female Senti. It was Kaiyukan's first Asian small-clawed otter birth in 10 years.
Records as of December 2025 show him living as a pair with Gumi, and in January 2026 the two amicably shared Gumi's birthday cake.
The four pups born with Senti (Hinoki, Buna, Myoga, and Shii) are kept spread across several facilities, including Kaiyukan and Nifrel. Hinoki, Buna, and Myoga made their debut in the 'Japan Forest' tank on April 24, 2024.
The birth was Kaiyukan's first successful Asian small-clawed otter breeding in 10 years, since 2013, and contributed to maintaining the captive population in Japan.
