Records
Born on the night of July 20, 2020, at Tama Zoological Park as one of twin females to mother Himawari and father Franken. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government's press release noted that Himawari, though a first-time mother, was raising her cubs calmly and that mother and cubs were doing well. She and her twin sister were named 'Rian' and 'Fran.'
As part of breeding cooperation between facilities in Japan and South Korea, she moved to Seoul Grand Park in South Korea in mid-November 2023. Around the same time, Sei, born at Saitama Children's Zoo, also moved to Seoul Grand Park via Tama Zoological Park, and the departure of the two was announced in a Tokyo Metropolitan Government press release. Sei had moved from Saitama Children's Zoo to Tama Zoological Park on November 15, 2023, ahead of the transfer. Rian was 3 years old at the time of the move.
