Records
Born August 19, 2012, at Notojima Aquarium, she later came to Aqua Park Shinagawa. She is wary and short-tempered, but deeply attached to her partner Taiyo, and she can be seen waiting for him to finish building their bed before climbing in.
The one with the darker coat is Mitsuba and the lighter one is Taiyo; they can also be told apart by the color of their noses and the shape of their heads.
At the special commentary event 'Wild Live Viewing: Otter Festival,' held October 10 to November 9, 2025, her curious side was showcased as she grabbed leaves with her dexterous paws and rolled pine cones around.
The two live in the Wild Street area, where weigh-ins and food intake records are kept regularly as part of their health management. Visitors can feed them Japanese smelt (wakasagi) in a feeding experience.
