Records
A male beluga born June 24, 2024, at Shimane Aquarium AQUAS to mother Anna and father Rangel. Together with Rirya, born that same summer, he was named 'Alan' from 979 entries. As of February 24, 2026, he measured 234 cm and weighed 230 kg. On March 3, 2026, he and Rirya moved from the breeding pool in the annex to the holding pool in the main building, carried about 110 m to the main building on a dedicated stretcher by crane. Both calves were playing with toys and eating on the very first day after the move. He is introduced as a rambunctious calf who loves to play, working through training, including practice at living with the older belugas and the signature bubble ring, with the goal of making his performance debut as early as possible.
