Records

A female beluga born July 27, 2014, at Shimane Aquarium AQUAS. Her mother was Arya, the first to perform the 'bubble ring,' and her older brother is Shirya, born in 2009. As of April 2025 she measured about 350 cm and weighed about 600 kg, and she is described as a clever, dexterous 'tomboy.' From March 25, 2026, she ran a high temperature and received medication, but from April 9 her temperature returned to normal and her behavior and appetite recovered fully. After a period of recuperation alongside her brother Shirya, beluga performances resumed at the end of June. AQUAS keeps several belugas split between the performance pool in the main building and the breeding pool in the annex, and Mirya is a beloved mainstay of the main building.

The public training sessions to confirm her recovery began on May 13, 2026, and from June 20 performances were scheduled five times a day on weekends.
