Records
Born August 7, 2014, at Sunshine Aquarium. On March 20, 2018, she was paired with Raja, a male who arrived from a zoo in Malaysia, and the two began their 'newlywed life.' She is described as curious and mischievous.
On October 30, 2018, she gave birth to Momiji, sired by Raja, the first birth ever to an Asian small-clawed otter born at Sunshine Aquarium (opened 1978). She went on to become the aquarium's central breeding female, giving birth to three sisters (Temari, Himari, and Airi) on February 1, 2021, and three brothers (Koko, Nattsu, and Miruku) on May 27, 2024.
As part of the cooperative husbandry and breeding program for Asian small-clawed otters run jointly by Japan's aquariums and zoos, she moved from Sunshine Aquarium to Shinagawa Aquarium with her daughter Momiji on June 16, 2026, and went on view there from June 17.
