A zoo in Shiroishi, Miyagi, said to be the only one in Japan where more than 100 foxes are kept free-roaming. It is known for letting visitors observe the foxes, including rare types, up close in the free-roaming area.

From Tokyo, about 4 hours 45 minutes on the Tohoku Expressway from the Urawa IC to the Shiroishi IC, then about 20 minutes by car from the Shiroishi IC. By Yamabiko Shinkansen, about 2 hours 5 minutes from Tokyo to Shiroishi-Zao Station, then about 20 minutes by car. From Sendai, about 30 minutes on the Tohoku Expressway from the Sendai-Minami IC to the Shiroishi IC, then about 20 minutes by car. Source
