Born November 21, 2013, at Adventure World. After moving to Kagoshima's Hirakawa Zoo on March 9, 2023, he moved to Sapporo Maruyama Zoo on March 28, 2025, for breeding. Maruyama Zoo's official website lists 'Date of birth: November 21, 2013' and 'born at Adventure World.'
The move was for breeding, to pair him with the female Rira; public viewing began April 12, 2025, with the two displayed on alternating days. There was a period when he spent long stretches in his sleeping quarters, not yet used to the new environment, but after his leg condition improved he returned to display in the outdoor yard of the Polar Bear House on May 8, 2025. The Hokkaido Shimbun described it as a 'debut fraught with difficulties.'
At Hirakawa Zoo, a farewell and encouragement gathering was held on February 28, 2025, where local visitors saw him off before his departure. After arriving at Maruyama Zoo he was reported 'showering himself in snow,' among other signs of getting used to life in snow country.
