Billed as Japan's first hands-on zoo, located in Kawazu, Kamo District, Shizuoka Prefecture. Operated by Rep Japan Co., Ltd., it keeps and exhibits many reptiles, amphibians, and dangerous animals. Its sister facilities are the hands-on frog house KawaZoo and Hagachizaki Monkey Bay.

Access

5 minutes by taxi from Kawazu Station on the Izukyu Line. From the Tokyo area, combine the Shinkansen, Ito Line, and Izukyu Line: Tokyo–Atami about 50 minutes, Atami–Ito (Ito Line) about 30 minutes, Ito–Kawazu (Izukyu) about 55 minutes. By car, about 1 hour 25 minutes from Tokyo via the Tomei Expressway, Atami Beach Line, and Route 135, plus about 1 hour 20 minutes from Atami to iZoo. Source
