ATAGAWA TROPICAL & ALLIGATOR GARDEN熱川バナナワニ園

A combined zoo and botanical garden in the Atagawa hot-spring town. It exhibits 16 species of crocodilians from around the world (including hybrids) and states that it is the only place in Japan where you can see western red pandas. It also keeps Amazonian manatees, which are rarely exhibited anywhere in the world, and functions as a tropical botanical garden growing more than 20 kinds of bananas and about 5,000 species of tropical plants. Cultivation using hot-spring heat is a distinctive feature.
