Shirahama Aquarium, Kyoto University京都大学白浜水族館

An aquarium attached to the Seto Marine Biological Laboratory of Kyoto University's Field Science Education and Research Center. It specializes in invertebrates and fish living around Shirahama, with about 500 species on permanent display. Visitors can observe creatures of the Nanki sea up close, such as crabs, starfish, and giant trevally.
