Fuji Safari Park富士自然動物公園

A large safari park at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Animals can be viewed in several ways: from your own car, the Jungle Bus, the Super Jungle Bus, or a navigation car. Exhibits range from large carnivores such as Amur tigers, lions, and cheetahs to herbivores such as zebras, giraffes, and white rhinos. There are also limited feeding experiences with leopards, hippos, meerkats, and others, and a seasonal night safari.

Access

From Tokyo Station, take the Shinkansen to Gotemba Station, then a local bus. From Shinjuku Station, take the Romancecar via Hakone-Yumoto Station, then a bus from Gotemba Station. Rental car companies are available at Gotemba, Mishima, and Shin-Fuji Stations (about 15–25 minutes from Gotemba Station). Source

HoursMarch 11–October 31: 9:00–16:30 (admission). November 1–30: 9:00–15:30. December 1–March 10: 10:00–15:30. In bad weather such as typhoons or snow, opening may be delayed, closing moved earlier, or the park closed. Source
AdmissionGeneral: adults (high school students and older) ¥3,200; children (age 4 through junior high) ¥2,000; seniors (65 and over) ¥2,500; age 3 and under free. MySAFARI member discount: adults ¥2,700, children ¥1,700. Disability discount: adults ¥1,600, children ¥1,000. Group discounts (15 or more). Parking is free for both cars and tour buses. Source
