Inokashira Park Zoo東京都井の頭自然文化園

A Tokyo metropolitan zoo and cultural park opened in 1942. In addition to animal exhibits, it includes a sculpture garden displaying works by sculptor Seibo Kitamura. It focuses on conserving rare species and on educational programs.

Access

About 10 minutes on foot from the Park Exit (south exit) of Kichijoji Station on the JR Chuo/Sobu Lines and the Keio Inokashira Line. Or take the Odakyu bus to the Bunkaen-mae stop, right by the park (during some hours, get off at Mansukebashi and walk about 5 minutes). The park has no parking lot; use private lots nearby. Source

Hours9:30–17:00 (tickets sold until 16:00). Closed on Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a holiday or substitute holiday) and during the New Year period (December 29–January 1). Source
AdmissionAdults ¥400; junior high students ¥150; ages 65 and over ¥200 (one ticket covers both the main park and the annex). Free for elementary students and younger, junior high students living or attending school in Tokyo, and holders of a physical disability certificate plus one companion. Annual pass: adults ¥1,600, ages 65 and over ¥800. Source
