Nonhoi Park豊橋総合動植物公園

One of the few comprehensive parks in Japan that combines a full-scale zoo, botanical garden, and natural history museum. It keeps more than 140 species of animals, and the natural history museum teaches the evolution of life through fossils. The park also includes an amusement park, offers seasonal plant viewing, and accepts support through an animal and plant sponsorship program.

Access

About a 6-minute walk from the South Exit of Futagawa Station on the JR Tokaido Main Line. Toyotetsu Bus (Futagawa Line, and the Tobu-Higashiyama Line "Yamabiko-go") is also available. By car, about 50 minutes from the Otowa-Gamagori IC via Route 1 (from the Nagoya direction) or about 1 hour from the Hamamatsu IC (from the Shizuoka direction). Parking: standard cars ¥200, medium and large vehicles ¥400 (cashless payment accepted). Source

Can I bring a packed lunch?
Yes. You can eat on the lawn plaza, on benches in the park, in the rest space at the observation tower, and elsewhere. Source

Re-entry is allowed on the day of your visit only. Let a staff member at the entrance gate know when you leave. Source

Strollers are available at each entrance gate for ¥300 per day. Strollers and wheelchairs can be used in the park. Source
