Toyamashifamiri Park富山市ファミリーパーク

A zoo that makes use of the lush natural environment of a satoyama (traditional woodland) setting. In addition to rare species such as the rock ptarmigan, it keeps and exhibits a wide range of animals including giraffes, tigers, penguins, bears, and red pandas. Family programs include the feeding experience "Feed the Animals," "Gokkun Time" feeding sessions, hands-on encounters at the Children's Zoo, horseback riding, and the evening event "Night Zoo."

About 5 minutes from the Toyama-Nishi IC on the Hokuriku Expressway; the entrance is at the first traffic light on the west side of the Kureha Tunnel on Prefectural Route 62 (Toyama-Kosugi Line).

About 5 minutes from the Toyama-Nishi IC on the Hokuriku Expressway; the entrance is at the first traffic light on the west side of the Kureha Tunnel on Prefectural Route 62 (Toyama-Kosugi Line). By public transportation, take bus Route 16 (Toyama University Hospital Loop) from bay 4 of the Chitetsu Bus Terminal at the South Exit of JR Toyama Station or Dentetsu-Toyama Station, about 25 minutes, and get off at Family Park-mae.
