Beijing Zoo北京动物园

Beijing Zoo, in Xizhimen in the Xicheng District of Beijing, was founded in 1906 and opened to visitors in 1908, making it the oldest zoo in China. Its roughly 89-hectare grounds are home to some 14,500 animals, spanning over 450 species of land animals and over 500 species of marine animals. The giant pandas are its most popular residents, and it is renowned for its collection of endangered Chinese species, drawing more than five million visitors a year.
