Apenheul Primate ParkApenheul

Apenheul Primate Park, set within the Berg en Bos nature area in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, opened on 12 July 1971, founded by photographer Wim Mager. It was the first zoo in the world where monkeys could roam freely through the forest and among visitors, and it keeps more than 30 primate species, including bonobos, gorillas and orangutans. It draws about 500,000 visitors a year.
