Oceanogràfic ValènciaOceanogràfic de València

Opened in 2003 within Valencia's City of Arts and Sciences (Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias), it is the largest marine complex of its type in Europe. It holds around 45,000 animals representing 500 species, with highlights including a large shark tank with an underwater tunnel, a dolphinarium, and belugas. The distinctive building, designed by architect Félix Candela, is an architectural landmark in its own right.
