Barcelona Zoo, opened in 1892 inside the Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona, Spain, spans about 13 hectares and holds more than 200 animal species. It became internationally known as the home of Snowflake (Copito de Nieve), the only documented albino gorilla, who lived there from 1966 until 2003.
