Aquarium de ParisAquarium de Paris - Cinéaqua

Set beneath the Chaillot hill in the Trocadéro gardens, a short walk from the Eiffel Tower, this is one of the world's oldest aquariums, first opened for the 1878 Exposition Universelle. After closing in 1985 due to deterioration, it was rebuilt and reopened in 2006 as Cinéaqua. Its roughly 3,500-square-metre galleries display around 500 species and some 10,000 marine animals, headlined by a large tank of 38 sharks and the Médusarium, one of Europe's largest jellyfish collections.
