San Diego Zoo Safari ParkSan Diego Zoo Safari Park

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is a sprawling 1,800-acre wildlife park in the San Pasqual Valley near Escondido, California, which opened in 1972. It is home to more than 3,000 animals across over 300 species, and its open-range savanna habitats let visitors watch giraffes, rhinos, and other animals living in mixed herds up close via the Africa Tram and open-air safari tours. It holds one of the world's largest collections of hoofed mammals and plays a central role in the recovery of the California condor.
